PHILOSOPHY
I believe in breaking big goals down into small, intentional steps—focusing on the process, not just the outcome. Some steps are joyful, others are gritty, but all of them build a strong foundation for both body and mind. When we stay present with where we are, while trusting the direction we’re headed, we often surprise ourselves with what we’re capable of. I don’t follow a single philosophy—I believe there’s always something to learn from others, from our own lived experiences, and from tuning in to each unique body and mind.
ABOUT ME
I’m a professional ultra runner for On, health coach for Vail Healthspan, a mom of two, and a lifelong lover of movement, mountains, and meaningful connection. I balance training with parenting, coaching, gardening, and the daily chaos of life—with rest and flexibility as my secret weapons.
My journey with sport began young: from middle school cross-country to racing for Team USA Triathlon at 16. After stepping away from competition for over a decade, I returned with a clearer sense of purpose. In 2017, I unknowingly ran the Leadville 100 two months pregnant. In 2021, I placed 2nd at Leadville, and I’ve been racing professionally with On ever since. I’ve learned that success comes from values-driven training, curiosity, and joy—not just results.
As a coach, I believe in collaboration. I work with a coach myself, and I value having a structured plan, a trusted sounding board, and access to tools that elevate performance. I coach through Team Run Run and lead Tour the Rockies Run Retreats, where I help runners of all backgrounds gain confidence, strength, and skills on the trails.
BIG INFLUENCES
Trail running is where I feel most alive, but I’m inspired by all types of movement. What drives me most is watching others work toward their goals with intention and heart. My approach to training is rooted in self-awareness—knowing your body, listening to your mind, and asking why your goals matter.

Nate Sylvester –
I have had other coaching before and was weary about doing it again.. Genevieve has exceeded every expectation that I could have had. I feel like she is personally invested in my training and development. Always responsive and is on top of tracking workouts even if I’m not doing a great job and documenting feedback on my own workouts. The plan is always laid out in advance and she works with me to schedule around life, travel, whatever it might be. If you are considering getting a coach – you’d be lucky to have her take you on as a client.
Kimberly Crane –
I started working with Genevieve at the beginning of this year for a big goal of running the Leadville 100. Right now she is helping me build consistency, speed, and strength. I appreciate her walking me through what to expect for the upcoming weeks in our training plan and allowing me to make changes to stay flexible around life happenings. I can already see an improvement in my running. I am feeling stronger and faster. I’m excited to keep working with her to see how much I grow throughout this year.
Katie Andriacchi –
I have been working with Genevieve for the last year and a half and I cannot recommend her enough. With her I’ve accomplished goals I did not think were possible.
We’ve worked together to set goals and a training plan that are realistic and sustainable given the highs and lows of life. She has a great outlook on training and knows how to help you maintain balance while still making progress towards your goals.
She always takes the time to read my feedback and workout notes and adjusts the plan when necessary. She does a great job on incorporating cross-training and fitting in my other activities like skiing and mountain biking into my training for running races. One of the most helpful and important things for me is she has been really great at knowing when to push me and when to convince me to take a breather and rest.
I started my journey with her feeling unsure that I could run my first half marathon and a year later I had two 50Ks and the Broken Arrow Triple Crown under my belt. Really excited to keep working with her and see what I’m able to accomplish next year.

Absolutely thrilled with my experience working with Coach Genevieve! She has truly helped me take my running—and especially my trail running—to the next level. Her guidance has brought so much more structure and discipline into my training, and she really understands exactly what I need to reach my goals. Genevieve is incredibly knowledgeable and takes the time to answer all my questions thoroughly and quickly. Her encouragement and motivation are fantastic, making every session both challenging and inspiring. Honestly, her coaching has exceeded all my expectations. I can’t wait to see how much further I’ll go with her as my coach! Highly recommend!

I had the privilege of working with Genevieve as my running coach for the Crested Butte Ultra Marathon, and I can’t recommend her enough. Her training plans were spot on—challenging, intentional, and perfectly tailored to my goals. What truly set Genevieve apart was her understanding of the balance between being a mom and an athlete. She crafted a schedule that not only pushed me but also respected the realities of family life. Thanks to her guidance, I felt confident and prepared every step of the way. If you’re looking for a coach who gets both the physical and personal demands of training, Genevieve is the one!
Stephanie Estrada –
Amazing coach! Super thoughtful, caring, respectful, and knowledgable. This is my first time hiring a coach for ultra distance training. Having accountability has helped me improve my performance so much. Coach Genevieve is great to talk to and learn from. She makes my training plans every week, and we have a zoom meeting every month as well. I Highly recommend coach Genevieve 🙌
Emma Richard –
Genevieve has been incredibly encouraging and uplifting to work with. She’s helped me guide me through training for an upcoming marathon, which has given me a sense of confidence in myself and my abilities that I haven’t had before. It is clear that she genuinely cares about me and my running journey, and I’m grateful to be working with her!
Cecelia Williams –
Genevieve is an amazing coach. She is responsive and has allowed my training plan to be flexible but have guidance, which is exactly what I needed. She is supportive and works with me during injury to create a plan that gets me back to running. Genevieve truly cares about me as a person and as an athlete, something that is essential in a coach/athlete relationship. I can’t say enough good things about Genevieve. She is helping me reach big goals this summer, and I wouldn’t want any other coach to help me out.
Terra Iverson –
Genevieve is an amazing coach! I’m a completely new runner and she’s really helped me grow my aerobic base and start traing for my goals. She’s been so patient and encouraging with me as I’m learning and growing. The training plan is amazing! I’m always pushing myself or trying something new without doing too much or injuring myself. I’m never board or overwhelmed.
She knows what it’s like to be a busy mom and a runner. I believe she’d be incredible to work with no matter where you are in your running journey or how full your life is.
I feel so blessed to have Genevieve in my corner! You will too!

Genevieve is the absolute best!
I attempted Leadville 100 in 2021 without a coach and came away with a stress fracture and a race deferral for 2022. Determined to get to the starting line healthy with my sights on the big belt buckle, G helped make that goal a reality in 2022. Crossing the finish line in just over 23 Hours and 40th overall, it wouldn’t have happened without her!
Jon Runs –
While my goals and plans for the year have shifted endlessly throughout the winter, Coach G has helped me build my aerobic capacity while staying healthy and happy along the way. I feel confident for whatever adventures the summer will bring since I know her coaching is in my corner.
Caitlin Massone –
I’ve really enjoyed working with Genevieve the past few months! She provides gentle and consistent guidance and encouragement during training. She is a great resource for both beginners and more experienced ultra runners , and has really worked with my hectic work schedule to find a training schedule that works for me. I am looking forward to the months ahead and her continued support as we near a 50k in March!
Paul Bennett –
It’s been great working with Genevieve! She’s super knowledgeable and has, and still is, living life as an elite athlete and parent and gets the life balance piece.
Her coaching program makes good sense and has the right balance of hard days and easy days.
There are some pro athletes who just make it up as they go along and can never seem to mentor others in their same success. This is not true here! She knows what has brought her success and can communicate that to others and coach others on that path as it relates to all aspects of racing – not just the workout plan.
Megan Boese –
Genevieve is a very thoughtful, invested coach. She cares about your individual goals and your individual abilities. She is realistic but believes in you! Having Genevieve as my coach allowed me to see what I am capable of and makes me excited to get back into shape after having baby number two. And not only back in shape, but to thrive in my running and racing!
Elizabeth Camann –
Jenna has been a wonderful coach over the last few months. I’m currently training for a 50K in April and am feeling more and more prepared by the day.
I appreciate Jenna’s knowledge and her own athletic history. She, herself, is a mom to two kiddos, and understands the dynamics and balance of family and training. She is quick to modify work outs if something comes up-which is inevitable, being a working momma. Jenna is quick to respond, gives encouraging and helpful feedback, and is always able and enthusiastic in answering my many questions. I’m grateful that she takes into account my schedule and works with my other commitments to help me find a balance with all that I have going on.
I have really loved incorporating different work out plans and goals throughout my runs. This adds in variability and challenging but doable times to strive for. She watches how my training has improved and or changes and makes modifications on work outs to reflect my progress.
Incorporating other forms of cross training is important to me. She is mindful to add this in and helps me to understand rest days are also needed. Her perspective is valued as I add in this variability throughout the week.
The time she has taken to understand my goals is greatly appreciated. I have loved working with Jenna and look forward to the next several months of training to reach my goal.
