PHILOSOPHY

I believe running should enhance your life, not take it over. My coaching is built on flexibility, personalization, and gradual progress. I focus on consistency, recovery, and mental strength while also making space for joy and celebration along the way. I also help athletes balance training with the realities of work, family, and travel so running becomes something sustainable and rewarding.

COACHING EXPERIENCE

I’ve been a dedicated runner since 2009 and earned my RRCA certification after years of informally supporting fellow athletes. Since then, I’ve coached runners at all levels — from first-time 5K finishers to marathoners chasing PRs to athletes completing multi-day challenges like Dopey (48.6 miles in four days). My athletes achieve success by improving consistency, building confidence, and learning how to train effectively while balancing the rest of life.

ABOUT ME

I’ve been running for over 16 years and hold an RRCA coaching certification. My own journey has taken me from local 5Ks to marathons and multi-day challenges, teaching me the importance of smart training, mental strength, and celebrating progress along the way.

Outside of running, I enjoy hiking with my dog, playing board games, watching soccer, and traveling. I’m also a Disney fan and a proud Disney Vacation Club member who loves experiencing races at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

BIG INFLUENCES

My coaching style blends practical experience with science-based training. I draw inspiration from Steve Magness’s work on mental toughness and consistency, along with flexible systems that prioritize gradual progress, strength, and recovery. My philosophy is also shaped by lessons I’ve learned as both an athlete and coach: ambitious goals can fit into busy lives when training is consistent, personalized, and joyful.

RACING HISTORY

I’ve been running since 2009, completing everything from local 5Ks to marathons and multi-day challenge events. Highlights include finishing the Goofy Challenge (39.3 miles over two days) and the Dopey Challenge (48.6 miles over four days), experiences that reinforced the importance of pacing, recovery, and mental strength. I’ve also run traditional road marathons like the Tunnel Marathon and half marathons including Iron Horse.

Each race has deepened my belief that consistency and joy go hand in hand — and those are the values I bring to every athlete I coach.
